On October 31st 2005, a group of men and women met at 74 Lawton Avenue, Brockton, Massachusetts. They met at the home of Pastor Joseph P. Policape and Deacon Josué Rameau. We prayed and talked about the possibility of establishing a church. With the Holy Spirit guiding us, we decided in the end to create our church. We named it “Brockton Tabernacle” or “Le Tabernacle de Brockton” in French. We started with about 20 members. Within a year, we grew to 60 members and within several years, the congregation kept increasing; today we worship now with about 130 members. Pastor Joseph P. Policape is the Senior Pastor. He has been ministering since 1982 and even prior to 1982; he has had experience as a church founder. Reverend Policape has a great vision to see Brockton Tabernacle grown into a mega church. We believe that once in Christ Jesus one is justified by grace through faith in order to enjoy peace with God, adopted into God’s family, to become a part of the universal church, and receive the assurance of eternal life.
Having been led, as we believe, by the Spirit of God to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, and upon confession of our sins, having been baptized in the presence of God, of the Angels and of this Assembly, solemnly and joyfully we make the following commitment as a body in Christ:
We commit ourselves, with the help of the Holy Spirit, to walk together in a spirit of Christian charity, to strive for the advancement of this Church in wisdom, holiness and consolation, to increase her property and her spirituality, to support its worship, its ordinances, its discipline and its doctrines, to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the maintenance of its ministers, at the expense of the Church, to the relief of the poor and to the propagation of the Gospel among all nations.
We also commit ourselves to maintain family worship and prayer in secret: to bring up our children in a Christian way; to work for the salvation of our parents and our neighbors; to walk with circumspection in the world; to be fair in our relationships, faithful to our commitments and to be examples of good behavior; to avoid and shun all siding, intoxicating beverages, and tobacco, and to be zealous in our efforts for the advancement of the kingdom of God.
We commit ourselves, in other, to watch over each other with fraternal charity to us We commit ourselves, in the other, to watch over each other with fraternal charity; to remember one another in our prayers, to help one another in sickness and distress; to cultivate Christian sympathy in our feelings and politeness in our speeches; to be slow to formalize ourselves (in case of offense) to be always ready for reconciliation; to submit to our Lord’s regulations without delay.
We commit ourselves, moreover, in the event of displacement of the place of our residence to unite as soon as possible with another Church where we can act in the spirit of this pact, and according to the principles of the word of God.
Efforce-toi de te présenter devant Dieu comme un homme éprouvé, un ouvrier qui n'a point à rougir, qui dispense droitement la parole de la vérité. 2 Tim. 2:15

Dear BTC Members, Visitors and Friends
Due to the pandemic that the world is facing, we as a church and individually Christians must pray while we are paying attention to our government’s officials, health care professionals and follow their leads. We know for sure that we do not have to be afraid, because God had made Himself available for His people in the past during difficult times and He is available to us today in a time like this through prayers. As psalms 91:3 says, “Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence and verse 6 of the same psalms say, “.Nor neither for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.”Most congregations are not meeting in person for worship in the New England area in order to avoid possibly spreading of the virus. We at Brockton Tabernacle Church, all of our programs are being cancelled until father notice. However, that must not prevent us from going before the Lord in Prayer. We ask you to continue to pray, contact each other via telephone. We will do our best to broadcast the Sunday service via social media. I also would like for you to support your church whichever way you can and to pray for your government’s officials to make the right decision during this time of uncertainty.
May God bless you
Reverend Dr. Joseph P. Policape
